Planning for Hair & Make-Up
There is nothing more fun than getting dolled up with your closest friends, drinking mimosas, and getting amped for a really fun day! But there are some things to consider so you don’t start your day off running behind and stressing yourself out. We are pro's at the dreaded wedding timeline, so if you're a BP couple, we are going to take care of this for you. But if you're not and you're figuring out the timeline on your own, here are our best tips to make the morning run smooth like butter!
1. Plan to have hair and makeup done about 30 mintues before you put on your dress. This gives you enough time for some fun robe shots, champaign pops, and wiggle room if hair and makeup does run a little over.
2. Let your hair and makeup artists know how many people will be getting done-up and when they need done by. They’ll let you know what time you need to start and how many artists they’ll need to bring. LISTEN TO THEM! Please don’t try to fit 12 girls in for hair and makeup in 2 hours with 1 artist.... You WILL run over and be late to your ceremony.
3. Don’t have the bride go last. Next to last is a good spot to be in, that way if things do fall behind, she has some wiggle room to get into her dress and ready for any first looks
4. Do a hair and make-up trial before the wedding! We’ve seen brides in tears because they aren’t happy with their wedding day look. You don’t know what a certain hairstyle or lip color is going to truly look like on you until you TRY IT.
5. Eat something during this time and don’t go TOO crazy with the champaign. Enough to kill the nerves, not a horse.
6. Lastly, be sure to communicate morning times with your bridal party. When does hair and make-up start? If they are doing their own hair and makeup what time should they meet you and where? What time should your mom be there to zip you into your dress.
Again, these are all things we can help you time out so that you aren’t stressing the day of your wedding. And if things run a little behind, don’t worry, nothing is going to start without you! You have a team of professionals that make sure everything runs according to plan.
